Totally Wild Seasonings Fish & Seafood Boil is perfect for fish, crawfish, shrimp or crabs. Catfishermen love this boil as an alternative to frying catfish. Just add half of a package (about 8 oz) to a gallon of boiling water. Boil fish for about 5 minutes and remove from boil; for crawfish, crabs, or shrimp, boil for 15 minutes. To obtain spicier fish or seafood, remove pan from heat and allow to stand in water for 15 minutes. Editor’s Note: I have been using Big Game Gut Glove for years, and I love these short gloves for skinning deer and field dressing turkeys. I have also used them for trapping and many miscellaneous uses. They are thick so I can be confident in my cutting, as my hands are much more protected than if wearing cheap, disposable gloves for if I do happen to have a wrong swipe of the knife.
Sizing tip – for a woman, I have pretty large, long hands so in women’s gloves I am often a size large and men’s gloves I am often a size medium. These gloves are in men’s sizes so I find them true to fit and use a size medium. See the product gallery photo for sizing measurements, but hope this helps! ~Jen
Madison Game Calls Deer Grunt Call
Madison Game Calls deer grunt calls are nationally recognized award-winning calls handmade by Rodd Madison of Minnesota. The call ‘as-is’ sounds like a mature buck, which you can use solely as that sound, but it can also be easily adjusted from a mature buck to a doe bleat if you’d like other sound options, as it houses an adjustable o-ring on the tone board. You just remove the insert from the barrel to access the tone board and move the o-ring up to the top two notches for a buck grunt or down to the last notch for a doe bleat. This is a very easy call to use and has produced many trophy class bucks since 2008.

Editor’s Note: Rodd Madison has been a long-time friend of mine, and these grunt calls have been long-time hunting partners of mine. They are amazing. Before Rodd’s calls, I felt like I wasn’t good at calling bucks. I was using the “popular,” “regular” calls from big box stores, and I didn’t even like the sound myself – let alone what bucks would think of it, so I did not have much confidence. The first time I tried one of Rodd’s calls, I was immediately like “whoa!” There really is that big of a sound difference in them – they are deep and truly sound like a mature buck. Eyad H. Yehyawi of Iowa is the author of “Crimson Arrows.” He has been bowhunting for nearly thirty years, traveling across the United States, Canada and Africa. Growing up in southeast Iowa, he gained an appreciation and respect for the outdoors at an early age. A naturalist long before he was a bowhunter, Eyad’s passion for the outdoors dates as far back as he can remember. Whether it was fishing in farm ponds or exploring local woodlots – he always found his way into the fields and forests. Coming from a family with no outdoor experience – his trials and tribulations paved the road toward future successes with a great appreciation for the journey.
