The Transporter does far more than just keep your rods safe. This is your home base, ground zero and starting point for all that happens once the holes are punched. Featuring 5-rod, 36” storage with rigid tube protection which gives way to spacious side compartments for gear galore, plus top access to an even larger compartment for tip-ups, skimmers, gloves and other gear. Editor’s Note: Being from southern Iowa originally, I was never used to seeing snowmobiles, four-wheelers or even trucks on the ice like you do further up north! We WALKED… EVERYWHERE. And we CARRIED… EVERYTHING! This Transporter has been my go-to for years – I’m a gear person, and it’s the only way I’d be able to walk with all my gear! And now that I travel with a sled as well in recent years, I still like to leave the sled in a central spot and then take the Transporter with me to keep it close as I bounce between ice fishing holes. I can’t go without it – I love this thing!!!
One quick possible fix – women don’t have as broad of shoulders as men and these straps are just a bit too wide for my shoulders, so you can just add a strap of some kind to lock the two straps together, if needed. I attached a piece of coated wire to one strap, so once I put the Transporter on, I then simply twist the wire around the other strap so the wire goes across my chest, locking the straps together and then I can walk for long distances without a strap slipping off my shoulder.

So it actually rates even warmer with it in, but I’ve also found it to be perfect without the liner to wear on warmer ice fishing days or cold open water days. Editor’s Note: When you need the warmest of the warm – use these Tundra Mitts! These are great as you can keep a hand warmer inside them, but it’s also nice you can slip these on and off quickly when you need to use your fingers. Also, you can wear a liner glove underneath for even more protection from the elements! I like wearing the Tundra Mitts for travel and in-between times during really cold conditions – keeping you warm when moving to your ice fishing spot, and they are what I wear for snowmobiling – perfect for it!
