“Hi, this is Jennifer Pudenz, founder of ADVENTURESS Magazine and Store. Previously, for four years/16 issues, I published ADVENTURESS as a digital magazine for FREE as I think a women’s outdoor magazine for hunting and fishing is so needed – NO OTHER EXISTS! My goal has always been to highlight experienced outdoor women who deserve to be highlighted, but often do not get the chance to be featured, published or on the cover of a magazine as typically the real-deal outdoor women sadly are often NOT the women who get attention and industry opportunities. ADVENTURESS was truly one-of-a-kind with this concept when it started, and I truly believe it started making a difference and a change within the outdoor industries!
However, after doing this for so long for free, along with changes in my life, I can no longer afford to continue ADVENTURESS without enough financial support to make a minimal living. I have always worked another full-time or part-time job(s) to try to make ends meet, which means ADVENTURESS does not get the time it deserves and also I am stretched extremely thin, which I can only handle for so long. Magazines usually consist of a team of people, and while I dream of that for ADVENTURESS someday, I have always ran ADVENTURESS on my own because I can’t financially afford to bring someone on board. For now, my goal is to at least make enough income with ADVENTURESS to eventually have ADVENTURESS as my only job so I can give it more of the focus it deserves, as well as I can have more time to expand my many ideas for it!
I believe in ADVENTURESS, I absolutely think it is needed, but I need help to keep making it possible. As we all know, expenses of living are through the roof, including the costs of printing and shipping. I am working to grow ADVENTURESS so it is funded through subscriptions, advertising and supplemented by the online ADVENTURESS Store.
In this sponsorship, you are donating the costs of paying a writer, printing a page or featuring an article. While money is extremely tight for me, I pay the writers either way because that is extremely important to me. Editor’s Note: Yay, the NEW Stella Jacket!!! I’m just getting out on the ice with this new jacket to really test it out, but am loving it so far as it’s really like an updated version of Striker’s previous Prism design, which was already great! What I appreciate with this that the other women’s jackets don’t offer, is this has the external cargo pockets, which is just so handy. I love that Striker has really stepped up the women’s designs to offer just as much as the men’s gear offers – this jacket is loaded! It’s so warm and functional – you’ll love it! And it’s always great to have more color options available – I love the Veil camo with burgundy accents to match with the burgundy Stella stocking hat! Hey, you might as well look good while you’re out there doing your thing!
For sizing, I typically wear a small in tops and mediums in hoodies and jackets. I find this to be pretty true to size where I could fit in a small or medium, but chose a medium to wear in this jacket to have extra room for under layers and mobility. I suggest the same for you, if you are typically between sizes for clothes, choose the larger size since you’ll want layers underneath a winter item such as this. Editor’s Note: I am loving these new Stella bibs! They are loaded with features being built more like the men’s bib, but with a women’s cut and sizing! They do not feature the drop seat like the women’s Prism bibs, and instead, the core of the bibs goes up higher like the men’s, so I find these warmer as they cover more of your core, and they also have the external cargo pockets like the men’s, also unlike the Prism bibs, which I prefer for room to have some gear more on the go with me and can fit my phone in these pockets easier! I also have longer legs with a 34″ inseam, so I love that the medium and large sizes also offer a “Tall” version to order, which is new for women’s Striker sizing and much appreciated!!!
I do notice a considerable difference with the new PrimaLoft insulation and heat mapping – I definitely find these to be warmer and lighter weight than other bibs! I have even found myself wearing less under layers at times than I normally do. With any winter gear, if you are between sizes, I recommend to size up to make sure you have enough room for under layers and movement, but otherwise, I feel the Stella’s are accurately sized for this and you can order your typical size. ~Jen

Editor’s Note: This is not a super heavy stocking hat, so I don’t think it’s a great fit for your coldest extreme days on the ice, but with being lighter weight, it is great for when you’re on the move (so you don’t overheat, heavy-weight hats get hot fast), for typical winter days or for wearing it inside (ice hut, shanty, cabin, home). Editor’s Note: Such great features in this Prism jacket! Super warm – I love wearing it for the nastiest of ice fishing days, but also it works great for snowmobiling! I typically wear size small in tops and mediums in hoodies or jackets, and I can fit the small or the medium of the Prism jacket, but I wear the size 8-medium for more room and mobility with wearing under layers. With a 36″ chest, 29″ waist and 40″ hip, I fit size medium in the StrikerICE women’s outerwear sizing chart, so I find the Prism jacket true to size. If you are between sizing, I recommend to choose the larger size to make sure you have enough room for under layers and mobility. ~Jen

Especially nice it can show off your cute zip-up or logo hoodie underneath better than bibs – ha! In the included photo, I’m wearing a size 8 (medium) – while my regular size is 4-6 (small), but this gives me enough room to wear two thick leggings layered underneath.
