Editor’s Note: This is such a good everyday bug spray, and especially to wear when you don’t want to smell like bug spray! Bug Soother really smells amazing! And it works! When I’m in really deep woods or excessive amount of mosquitoes around, I do still use the hard-core deet, permethrin or picaridin, but there’s many times you can avoid using chemicals with this natural bug spray of essential oils that is way healthier for us. And it’s safe for pets! I definitely don’t feel safe enough to spray any regular bug sprays/chemicals on my dog, since he is bound to lick his hair. But with this being natural, I spray it all over his coat and it’s been a lifesaver, especially on summer hikes where deer flies are trying to bite his backside! ~Jen

Editor’s Note: I have been using Big Game Gut Glove field dressing gloves for years, and not only do I love them for protecting my hunting clothing, but also they have definitely saved me (more than once!) from a cut on my hand from my own accidental knife mishandling while field dressing. I love how thick and long these gloves are – so much better than the cheap, throwaway gloves!
Sizing tip – for a woman, I have pretty large, long hands so in women’s gloves I am often a size large and men’s gloves I am often a size medium. The StrikerICE Stealth Glove delivers the same waterproof properties as many other insulated gloves, but without the bulk! Built with a seamless four-way stretch fabric, the stealth glove provides the most dexterity of any glove in StrikerICE’s product mix. Complete waterproof/breathable construction ensures your hands stay warm and dry all day long. The silicone print palm and tech touch fingertips allow you to take a picture of that giant walleye without having to take your gloves off. Additionally, the water-resistant coating helps repel moisture when lighter moisture is present.
Editor’s Note: I think a variety of gloves are needed for ice fishing – I carry A LOT with me to make sure I’m fully prepared and have what I need because all gloves have their positives and negatives. Sometimes you need the warmest glove possible, in which a mitt is the best for traveling; however it’s bulky so you may need to switch to another glove. Sometimes a cloth glove is easy, but it gets wet and snagged with hooks, so you may need to switch to another glove. Sometimes an insulated glove you can quickly slip off to use your fingers for putting on a tiny lure is best, and sometimes it’s so cold you want to avoid having to be without a glove at all times – this is where the Stealth glove can shine. When you can’t wear a bulky glove because you need flexibility and dexterity to do tasks, but absolutely need to protect yourself from cold water and cold air, the Stealth glove is the ticket! It’s WATERPROOF! But also breathable, unlike neoprene gloves. So these will keep your hands dry!
The Stealth glove should really “fit like a glove” being a bit tighter of a glove and fitting the form of your hand well, not being loose at all. This glove is in men’s sizing only – I typically wear a large size in women’s gloves and a medium in men’s gloves. The Stealth glove in a medium fits me perfect, so I find it true to size. ~Jen
