Created with the woman hunter in mind, this turkey pot call features beautiful purpleheart wood, with it’s natural, impressive purple hue, known for its strength and durability. Engraved into the full wood side of this call is the ADVENTURESS circle logo with stars.

For ease of calling and quality sound, the other side features a Pennsylvania gray slate calling surface. Gray slate has an awesome throaty sound, and is the king of soft talk for turkey calling. This also includes an imprint of the ADVENTURESS name logo.

The striker included with this call also features natural purpleheart wood. This is the go-to striker for many, and plays well on every surface, so you can use it on other calls too.

About Anthony

As a child, the wild turkey always intrigued me. At that time, turkey hunting was just starting to get big. I worked to gain as much knowledge about the bird as I could. Then, sometime in the late 90s, I went to a turkey hunting seminar, and met a great friend and mentor–Jeff Fredrick of Champions Choice Turkey Calls. At that time, Jeff was the current WI State turkey calling champion, and we instantly became friends.

With a lot of coaching and help, I too, decided to try my hand at contest calling. I’m happy to say I am now a multiple time Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa turkey calling champion! We learned the off-the-shelf calls at your local sporting goods stores are inferior and insufficient for contests.

Jeff already had the best mouth calls out there, so all we needed was friction calls. I took it upon myself to see what I could do to provide the serious hunter and contest caller a superior sounding call. Today, I truly believe we have some of the best-sounding, most-consistent calls money can buy!

Madison Game Calls Deer Grunt Call

Madison Game Calls deer grunt calls are nationally recognized award-winning calls handmade by Rodd Madison of Minnesota. Editor’s Note: Rodd Madison has been a long-time friend of mine, and these grunt calls have been long-time hunting partners of mine. They are amazing. Before Rodd’s calls, I felt like I wasn’t good at calling bucks. I was using the “popular,” “regular” calls from big box stores, and I didn’t even like the sound myself – let alone what bucks would think of it, so I did not have much confidence. The first time I tried one of Rodd’s calls, I was immediately like “whoa!” There really is that big of a sound difference in them – they are deep and truly sound like a mature buck. I went from having no confidence in calling, to calling in bucks all the time and getting opportunities at mature bucks that are very rare to fool. It completely changed my confidence and my hunting game!

Editor’s Note: I have been using Big Game Gut Glove field dressing gloves for years, and not only do I love them for protecting my hunting clothing, but also they have definitely saved me (more than once!) from a cut on my hand from my own accidental knife mishandling while field dressing. I love how thick and long these gloves are – so much better than the cheap, throwaway gloves!

Sizing tip – for a woman, I have pretty large, long hands so in women’s gloves I am often a size large and men’s gloves I am often a size medium.
