Editor’s Note: When you need the warmest of the warm – use these Tundra Mitts! These are great as you can keep a hand warmer inside them, but it’s also nice you can slip these on and off quickly when you need to use your fingers. Also, you can wear a liner glove underneath for even more protection from the elements! I like wearing the Tundra Mitts for travel and in-between times during really cold conditions – keeping you warm when moving to your ice fishing spot, and they are what I wear for snowmobiling – perfect for it!
I have long, larger hands for a woman, so I typically wear a size large in women’s gloves and a size medium in men’s gloves – these are men’s sizing and I find them true to size as I wear a size medium in them. ~Jen

Editor’s Note: I love this scentless lotion for deer hunting, but don’t limit yourself to that! I use this scentless lotion year-round! It’s especially great for wintertime as during ice fishing season, I don’t want a scented lotion for my hands, but I desperately need lotion! I also use it specifically for turkey hunting. While turkeys aren’t affected by scent, I’m wearing the same camo I wear during deer season, so I do not want to expose any of my gear with a smelly lotion. And get this – I use it on my dog! I have tried several different products to help keep burrs and stickers off my dog while hunting, and THIS is what works the best!!! Before hunting, I rub it between my hands and then run my hands over him to lightly layer it on his fur and tips of his hair. Editor’s Note: I am loving these new Stella bibs! They are loaded with features being built more like the men’s bib, but with a women’s cut and sizing! They do not feature the drop seat like the women’s Prism bibs, and instead, the core of the bibs goes up higher like the men’s, so I find these warmer as they cover more of your core, and they also have the external cargo pockets like the men’s, also unlike the Prism bibs, which I prefer for room to have some gear more on the go with me and can fit my phone in these pockets easier! I also have longer legs with a 34″ inseam, so I love that the medium and large sizes also offer a “Tall” version to order, which is new for women’s Striker sizing and much appreciated!!!
I do notice a considerable difference with the new PrimaLoft insulation and heat mapping – I definitely find these to be warmer and lighter weight than other bibs! I have even found myself wearing less under layers at times than I normally do. With any winter gear, if you are between sizes, I recommend to size up to make sure you have enough room for under layers and movement, but otherwise, I feel the Stella’s are accurately sized for this and you can order your typical size. ~Jen

Editor’s Note: I have been using Big Game Gut Glove field dressing gloves for years, and not only do I love them for protecting my hunting clothing, but also they have definitely saved me (more than once!) from a cut on my hand from my own accidental knife mishandling while field dressing. I love how thick and long these gloves are – so much better than the cheap, throwaway gloves!
Sizing tip – for a woman, I have pretty large, long hands so in women’s gloves I am often a size large and men’s gloves I am often a size medium. Striker Stealth Gloves

The StrikerICE Stealth Glove delivers the same waterproof properties as many other insulated gloves, but without the bulk! Built with a seamless four-way stretch fabric, the stealth glove provides the most dexterity of any glove in StrikerICE’s product mix. Complete waterproof/breathable construction ensures your hands stay warm and dry all day long. The silicone print palm and tech touch fingertips allow you to take a picture of that giant walleye without having to take your gloves off. Additionally, the water-resistant coating helps repel moisture when lighter moisture is present.
Editor’s Note: I think a variety of gloves are needed for ice fishing – I carry A LOT with me to make sure I’m fully prepared and have what I need because all gloves have their positives and negatives. Sometimes you need the warmest glove possible, in which a mitt is the best for traveling; however it’s bulky so you may need to switch to another glove. Sometimes a cloth glove is easy, but it gets wet and snagged with hooks, so you may need to switch to another glove. Sometimes an insulated glove you can quickly slip off to use your fingers for putting on a tiny lure is best, and sometimes it’s so cold you want to avoid having to be without a glove at all times – this is where the Stealth glove can shine. When you can’t wear a bulky glove because you need flexibility and dexterity to do tasks, but absolutely need to protect yourself from cold water and cold air, the Stealth glove is the ticket! It’s WATERPROOF! But also breathable, unlike neoprene gloves. So these will keep your hands dry!
The Stealth glove should really “fit like a glove” being a bit tighter of a glove and fitting the form of your hand well, not being loose at all. This glove is in men’s sizing only – I typically wear a large size in women’s gloves and a medium in men’s gloves. The Stealth glove in a medium fits me perfect, so I find it true to size. ~Jen
