Editor’s Note: I love this scentless lotion for deer hunting, but don’t limit yourself to that! I use this scentless lotion year-round! It’s especially great for wintertime as during ice fishing season, I don’t want a scented lotion for my hands, but I desperately need lotion! I also use it specifically for turkey hunting. While turkeys aren’t affected by scent, I’m wearing the same camo I wear during deer season, so I do not want to expose any of my gear with a smelly lotion. And get this – I use it on my dog! I have tried several different products to help keep burrs and stickers off my dog while hunting, and THIS is what works the best!!! Before hunting, I rub it between my hands and then run my hands over him to lightly layer it on his fur and tips of his hair. Editor’s Note: Being from southern Iowa originally, I was never used to seeing snowmobiles, four-wheelers or even trucks on the ice like you do further up north! We WALKED… EVERYWHERE. And we CARRIED… EVERYTHING! This Transporter has been my go-to for years – I’m a gear person, and it’s the only way I’d be able to walk with all my gear! And now that I travel with a sled as well in recent years, I still like to leave the sled in a central spot and then take the Transporter with me to keep it close as I bounce between ice fishing holes. I can’t go without it – I love this thing!!!
One quick possible fix – women don’t have as broad of shoulders as men and these straps are just a bit too wide for my shoulders, so you can just add a strap of some kind to lock the two straps together, if needed. I attached a piece of coated wire to one strap, so once I put the Transporter on, I then simply twist the wire around the other strap so the wire goes across my chest, locking the straps together and then I can walk for long distances without a strap slipping off my shoulder.
